SUBDIVISION SIDEWALK BOND
COUNTRY GABLES NINTH ADDITION.
WHEREAS, a construction of sidewalks in the Country Gables
Ninth Addition to Ames, Iowa, by the subdivider is a condition for
approval by the City of Ames of the plat of said subdivision; and,
WHEREAS, it is desired that in accordance with customary
building practice the construction of a sidewalk pertaining to a
lot in said subdivision not be done until completion of a principal
building on the lot so as to avoid destruction of the sidewalk by
passage of heavy construction equipment and vehicles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT KNOWN:
That Frank A. Schill and Jane E. Schill personally and as
principals; and, Frank Schill and Sons, Inc. , as corporate surety,
are hereby held and firmly bound as obligors unto the obligee City
of Ames, Iowa, in the penal sum of $19,4.00.00 for the payment of
which sum, well and truly to be made, we do jointly and severally
bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, successors and assigns
hereby, this being a covenant to run with the land described as:
Lots 1 through 22, Country Gables Ninth Addition to Ames,
Iowa
The condition of the above obligation is .-such -that if all
sidewalks required to be constructed as a condition for approval of
the plat of the aforesaid subdivision shall be properly constructed
in accordance with the standards and specifications of the City of
Ames Department of Public Works, with relation to each and every
lot, then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full
force and effect. A partial release shall be granted with respect
to each lot for which the pertinent portion of the required

sidewalk is constructed as aforesaid.
Nothing herein shall be deemed an impediment to a resolution
of necessity and assessment for a sidewalk with respect to lots in
the said subdivision.
