WILDFLOWER SUBDIVISION
Conceptual Development Plan-Planting Plan
Concept :
The vast majority of the Wildflower Subdivision is a heavily wooded forest with a floor
of natural wildflowers . Only .the far eastern portion that is Wildflower Drive Right-of-Tay
is not heavily wooded, but it is treed. It is the intent of the developers to retain the
area in as natural a state as possible . It is the goal of this Planting Plan to make a
transition from the conventional grassed narking areas at Hickory Drive to the natural
forest area to the north, where all the residences will be located.
The Plan :
All areas of the cul-de- sac in the interior part of this subdivision will be left natural .
Damage caused by construction will be kept to the absolute minimum, and these so damaged
areas will be allowed to replant themselves with seeds from adjoining plants and trees .
This state will extend easterly to the eastern edge of the .forest .
The next easterly area is presently dense foliage of young trees , sumac , and brush areas ;
and extends to the east approximately SO feet . This area will also be kept in it 's
natural state ; and construction damaged areas allowed to grow back in a like manner . This
dens.e foliage is low in height (approximately 6 ' ) and is an excellent Spring, Summer , and
Fall privacy barrier for the adjoining property owners .
The next area east contains heavy long grasses which will be allowed to grow, but will be
interspersed with denser grass varieties and pockets of low maintenance ground cover .
The center island between the lanes of Wildflower Drive will be mounded and will contain
ground cover pfitzers , bark chips , and a few schrubs for color . The two large trees
shown on the plan are existing white oaks and will be kept -if at all possible .
The eastern boundary of Wildflower Subdivision abutts Hickory Drive and will be retained
in it ' s present state of conventional residential grasses , but will also be interspersed
with some pockets of low maintenance ground cover .
