SUBJECT: Approval of final plat of White Oak Subdivision.
BACKGROUND:
Earlier this year, City Council authorized the staff to pursue transfer of
a strip of property in Oakwood 1st Addition to the adjacent property
owners. The 60' wide parcel , located north of Oakwood Road was originally
dedicated to the City as a buffer to the adjacent housing. Because the
City has no need for the property other than for easements, it was felt
that the land should be transferred to the owners of the adjacent property
within Oakwood Subdivision.
In order to transfer the property it is necessary to plat the strip of land
into parcels. The platting work has been completed in accordance with the
appropriate ordinances and restrictive covenants.
ALTERNATIVES•
1 . Accept the plat and transfer the parcels to the adjacent property
owners in Oakwood lst Addition.
2. Reject the plat and retain the property.
MANAGER'S RECOMMENDED ACTION:
It is recommended by the the City Manager that the City Council accept the
final plat of White Oak Subdivision and direct the City Attorney to
transfer the parcels to the adjacent owners in Oakwood 1st Addition.
