KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: a �.MMll, t1'
That Buck Construction Company, Inc. , an Iowa Corporation, having
its principal place of business in the City of Ames , Story County, Iowa, for
and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar, receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, does hereby grant to the City of Ames , Story County, Iowa,
its successors and assigns:
1. The perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, operate and main-
tain electric lines, consisting of poles, wires, cables, conduits, fixtures,
anchors and other similar equipment, including the right to trim or remove
trees within such area where necessary to secure clearance of four feet from
the wires or poles.
2. The perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, alter, operate and
maintain water line and appurtenances thereto, sanitary sewers and appurte-
nances thereto, and storm sewers and appurtenances thereto.
3. The perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, alter, operate and
maintain telephone wires, poles, cable risers and appurtenances thereto.
4. The perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, alter, operate and
maintain gas lines and appurtenances thereto, together with the right to
extend to telegraph, telephone, electric, or power companies or any company
the right to use separately or jointly with the City of Ames, the areas included
in this easement for the purposes above enumerated, over, upon, across or
under the following described real estate situated in the County of Story,
State of Iowa, to-wit:
The South Ten (10) feet of Lots 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9;
The East Five (5) feet of Lots 5 and 7;
The West Five (5) feet of Lots 6 and 8;
The East Ten (10) feet of Lot 9;
A Five (5) foot strip of Lot 5, parallel to and adjacent
to the Westerly lot line of said Lot 5;
A Twenty (20) foot strip of Lot 1 , parallel to and adja-
cent to the Easterly lot line of said Lot 1 ;
A Twenty (20) foot strip of Lot 2, parallel to and adja-
cent to the rear lot line of said Lot 2 (said rear lot line being
described as commencing at the North corner intersection of
Lots 2 and 3, thence South 560 52' East 154. 6 feet, thence
South 12' 20' East 40. 7 feet;

A Twenty (20) foot strip of Lot 3, parallel to and
adjacent to the rear lot line of said Lot 3 (said rear lot
line being described as commencing at the North corner
intersection of Lots 2 and 3, thence North 56' 52' West
30.0 feet, thence South 44' 24' 45" West 195. 5 feet;
A Twenty (20) foot strip of Lot 4 described as
commencing at the Northwesterly corner intersection of
Lots 3 and 4, thence 20 feet Southeasterly along the lot
line between said Lots 3 and 4, thence South 44' 24' 45"
West to Westbend Drive, thence North along Westbend
Drive 27. 5 feet,mxe or less, to where the Northwesterly
lot line of said Lot 4 intersects Westbend Drive, thence
North 44' 24' 45" East 45.0 feet to the point of beginning.
All said lots being in Second Addition to Westwood
Subdivision of Ames, Iowa.
The foregoing right is granted upon the express condition that the City
of Ames will assume responsibility for all damage to the above described
property caused by the City's failure to use due care in the exercise of
its granted right.

instrument was signed and sealed on behalf of said corporation by authority
of its Board of Directors; that the said Robert O. Buck, as President and
Anne K. Buck, as Secretary, acknowledged the execution of said instrument
