RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING PRELIMINARY PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS, PLAT, VALUATIONS AND SCHEDULE, GRANT
AVENUE (HYDE AVENUE) PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS, CITY OF
AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, this Council has adopted a preliminary resolution pursuant to section 384.42
of the Code of Iowa, as amended, covering the Grant Avenue (Hyde Avenue) Pavement
Improvements (hereinafter referred to as the"Improvement Project'); and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with such preliminary resolution, the Project Engineers have
prepared preliminary plans and specifications, an estimated cost of the work and a plat and schedule,
and have filed the same with the Clerk; and,
WHEREAS, this Council has determined the valuation of each lot proposed to be assessed
for such Improvement Project, and such valuations are now shown on the schedule, and this Council
deems it advisable that the said preluninary plans and specifications, estimated cost of the work and
plat and schedule should be approved; and,
WHEREAS, the City has entered into agreements with all of the affected Property Owners,
or predecessors in interest, for the construction of the Grant Avenue (Hyde Avenue) Pavement
Improvements wherein each has consented to the adoption of a Preliminary Resolution, a Resolution
of Necessity, and a Resolution Adopting Final Assessment Schedule and Levying Assessments and
waived all notices, hearings, other formalities of adoption, together with any objection thereto.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council as follows:
Section 1. That the preliminary plans and specifications referred to in the preamble hereof
be and the same are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the plat and schedule and costs as attached are hereby ratified and approved.
Section 3. All resolutions, orders or parts thereof to the extent the same may be in
conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
