WHEREAS, Marjo, I.nc. , an Iowa corporation, is the sole lawful
owner in fee simple of Lots 1 to 39, inclusive in The Union Addition, Ames,
Iowa; and
WHEREAS, Marjo, Inc. , as such owner, for its protection and for
the benefit of subsequent owners of said real estate desires to restrict the
use thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, Marjo, Inc. , hereby covenants, bargains and
agrees for itself, its assigns and successors in interest as follows:
1. All lots in The Union Addition, Ames, Iowa, shall be used only
for residential purposes.
2. Only one-family dwellings may be constructed upon Lots 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16 to 24, inclusive, 26, 27, 30, 32, 33, 34,
35, 38 and 39 in The Union Addition, Ames, Iowa.
3. Only one-family dwellings or two-family dwellings may be con-
structed upon Lots 6, 11 , 13, 15, 25, 28, 29, 31, 36 and 37 in The Union
Addition, Ames, Iowa.

On this 18th day of May, 1977, before me, the undersigned, a Notary
Public In and for said State, personally appeared Everett W. Cochrane and
Harriet E. Grandquist, to me personally known, who, being by me duly
sworn, did say that they are the President and Secretary, respectively, of
said corporation; that no seal has been procured by the said corporation;
that said instrument was signed on behalf of said corporation by authority
of its Board of Directors; and that the said Everett W. Cochrane and Harriet
E. Grandquist as such officers acknowledged the execution of said instrument
to be the voluntary act and deed of said corporation, by it and by them vol-
untarily executed.
