KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That Marjo, Inc. , a cor-
poration organized and existing under the laws of the State of Iowa and hav-
ing its principal place of business in Story County, Iowa, in consideration
of One Dollar and other good and valuable consideration, does hereby grant
unto the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successors and
assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and use
electric lines, consisting of poles, wires, cables, conduits, fixtures, an-
chors and similar equipment, including the right to trim or remove trees
within such area where necessary to secure a clearance of four feet from
the wires or poles, together with the right to extend to telephone, telegraph,
electric or power companies, the right to use separately or jointly with the
City of Ames, Iowa, the areas included in this easement for the purposes of
extending utility services over, upon, across or under the following describ-
ed real estate, situated in the County of Story, State of Iowa, to-wit:
All areas, either 5 feet wide or 10 feet wide, adjacent to the
perimeter boundaries of certain lots in The Union Addition,
Ames, Iowa, as shown on the Final Plat thereof and desig-
nated as public utility easements.
Marjo, Inc. , does hereby further grant unto the City of Ames, Iowa,
its successors and assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct,
maintain and use a storm sewer over, upon, across and under the East 5
feet of Lots 23, 38 and 37 and the West 5 feet of Lots 24, 26, 27 and 28, all
in The Union Addition, Ames, Iowa, as shown on the Final Plat thereof.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the
City of Ames, Iowa, will assume responsibility for all damage to the above
described property caused by the City's exercise of its granted right.

Public in and for said State, personally appeared Everett W. Cochrane and
Harriet E. Grandquist, to me personally known, who, being by me duly
sworn, did say that they are the President and Secretary, respectively, of
said corporation; that no seal has been procured by the said corporation;
that said instrument was signed on behalf of said corporation by authority
of its Board of Directors; and that the said Everett W. Cochrane and Harriet
E. Grandquist as such officers acknowledged the execution of said instrument
to be the voluntary act and deed of said corporation, by it and by them vol- r:
untarily executed.
