Mayor& Council Members CITY OF Fri MES.[NYA City Hall 515 Clark Avenue Ames, IA 50010 RF_,: First Addition, Terra Firma Subdivision Dear Mayor Tedesco and Members of the City Council: We represent Terra Firma, L.P., which owns properties at 221, 223, 229, and 301 Stanton Avenue. Terra Firma has been working on site plans and a minor subdivision plat of these four parcels under existing zoning regulations toward constructing a new 18- plex. My client and I have been very grateful for city staff support of this project. Because a matter in litigation for another client required my immediate attention most of the day, I was unable to deliver the completed minor subdivision platting docu- ments to the Department of Planning and Housing on Monday, April 10 to meet the sub- mission deadline fifteen days before the council meeting. I did, however, deliver them Tuesday morning, April 11. This was my fault, and not my client's fault. In order for this plat and this project to be successful, my client needs have this plat considered and approved under existing zoning regulations. I respectfully request that the Council consider a waiver of the fifteen-day requirement and consider this plat at the April 25 council meeting or convene a special meeting on April 26 for the purpose of approving this plat. Thank you in advance for your consideration of this matter. Yours very truly, S , JAHN, FEILMEYER&FEILMEYER, PLC FRANKLIN J. FEIL YER Attorney at Law FJF N 200004111051
