CITY OF AMES, IOWA
RESOLUTION NUMBER 96-437
BEING A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE PLAT OF
SUNCREST SUBDIVISION, AMES, IOWA.
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of the City
of Ames, Iowa, a plat of real estate described as:
Part of the SW 114 of the SE 114 of Section 16,
Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M.,
Ames, Story County, Iowa, more particularly
described as follows: Beginning at the SW Corner of
the SW 114 of the SE 114 of said Section 16; thence on
an assumed bearing of N 000 07' 26" W, along the
west line of the SW 114 of the SE 114 742.82 feet ;
thence S 890 10' 26" E, 508.00 feet; thence N 000 07'
26" W, 557.36 feet to the North line of said SW 114 of
the SE 114; thence S 890 10' E, along said North line
327.00 feet; thence S 000 06' 24" E, 1306.43 feet;
thence N 880 44' 48" W, 834.72 feet to the point of
beginning
to be known as Suncrest Subdivision, Ames, Iowa, said real estate being
situated within the corporate limits of the City of Ames, Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Ames, Iowa,
has acted on said plat as provided by law and has recommended that
said plat be approved, and
WHEREAS, Suncrest, L.C., is the owner of said real estate and will
execute a written consent and dedication to Ames, Iowa upon
approval of this Resolution by the City Council, and

WHEREAS, it appears that the conditions and requirements of the
relevant Sections of the Code of Iowa, and the ordinances of the City of
Ames, Iowa, have been met to the extent the City Council deems
appropriate, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that the plat of Suncrest Subdivision, Ames, Iowa, should be
accepted and approved, and
WHEREAS, the consent of the lienholder, Warren B. Sargent, has
been obtained as shown by his consent included in the platting
documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Ames, Iowa, that the plat of Suncrest Subdivision, Ames, Iowa, be and it is
hereby accepted and approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the streets and public ways shown on
the plat of Suncrest Subdivision, Ames, Iowa, are hereby accepted by
the City of Ames, Iowa as part of the street and public way system of the
City of Ames.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all acts of the owners and proprietors
of said real estate be and they are hereby confirmed and approved
by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, and the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and they are hereby directed to
certify the Resolution affixed to said Plat.

do hereby certify that the above Resolution is a true and accurate copy
of said Resolution; that said Resolution was duly passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, at a duly called meeting
thereof on the 24th day of September- 1996.
