in consideration of the sum of One Dollar ($1. 0 )
he receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant to the
ity of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corproation, its successors and
assigns, a perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and
se its electric lines, consisting of poles, wires , overhead and
nderground cable, fixtures, anchors and other similar equipment or
any part thereof, for the sole purpose of general utility use and fo
conveying electric current for power and light purposes, telephone,
able, gas lines and drainage together with the right to go upon

telephone, electric, power or cable company the right to use jointly
ith grantee, any pole placed pursuant to the provisions thereof
together with the right to trim any trees to allow for clearance

clearance for the safe operation of electric lines upon, underground
r adjacent to that real estate located in First Addition, Stone
Brooke Subdivision, Ames, Iowa, and more specifically described as :

The foregoing right is granted upon the express condition
that the City of Ames will assume liability for all damage to the
herein described property casued by the said City's failure to use
due care in its exercise of the granted right.
