CLARK and KAREN L. CLARK, husband and wife, and DONALD E. KEARNEY, owners of said real estate, together with COLETTE K. KEARNEY, wife of DONALD E. KEARNEY, have executed a written Consent and Dedication declaring that the platting is with their free consent and in accordance with their desires as proprietors, and have dedicated and set apart for public use as streets certain portions of the subdivision as shown and designated on the plat thereof now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, and WHEREAS, it appears that all conditions and requirements have been met as prescribed by Chapter 409A, The Code of Iowa, as amended, and as required by ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa, and zoning ordinances and land use ordinances adopted by Story County, Iowa, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the plat of THIRD ADDITION, SQUAW VALLEY SOUTH SUBDIVISION, STORY COUNTY, IOWA, should be accepted and approved, and the dedication of streets therein should be accepted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the plat of THIRD ADDITION, SQUAW VALLEY SOUTH SUBDIVISION, STORY COUNTY, IOWA, be and it is hereby accepted and approved; that the dedication of streets as shown and designated on the plat of said subdivision now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same are hereby accepted for public use, however, said streets are not a part of the City of Ames, Iowa, and the City of Ames, Iowa, shall -3- not exercise any rights, nor have any responsibility of ownership thereof, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all acts of the owners and proprietors of said real estate in the premises be and they are hereby confirmed and approved by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, and the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and they are hereby directed to certify the Resolution affixed to said plat.
