RESOLUTION NO. 87 - 33 OF THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF STORY COUNTY, IOWA
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING .THE PLAT
OF SECOND ADDITION, SQUAW VALLEY SOUTH
SUBDIVISION, STORY COUNTY, IOWA
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Board of
Supervisors of Story County, Iowa, a plat of real estate
described as :
A part of the Southeast Quarter ( SE 1/4 ) of the
Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4 )
AND
A part of the Southwest Quarter ( SW 1/4 ) of the
Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4 ) of Section Twenty
( 20 ) , Township Eighty-four ( 84 ) North, Range
Twenty-four ( 24 ) West of the 5th P.M. , Story
County, Iowa, lying immediately East of Squaw
Valley South Subdivision, Story County, Iowa,
described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest Corner of the
Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4 ) of Section Twenty

STORY COUNTY, IOWA, and
WHEREAS, said plat has been submitted to the Story
County Planning and Zoning Commission as required by law and said
Commission has recommended that the plat be approved, and
WHEREAS, the owner of said real estate has consented to
said plat and has dedicated and set apart for public use as
streets certain portions of said subdivision as shown and
designated on the final plat thereof , and
WHEREAS, it appears that the owner of the real estate
has met all conditions, as required by law, concerning the
platting of the real estate, including those established by the
City of Ames , Iowa, said real estate lying within two ( 2 ) miles
of the Corporate Limits of the City of Ames, Iowa, and
WHEREAS, it appears that all conditions and
requirements prescribed by Chapter 409 , The Code of Iowa, as
amended, and as prescribed by Land Use Policies and Zoning
Ordinances of Story County, Iowa, have been complied with and
met, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Board of Supervisors .
of Story County, Iowa, that said plat should be accepted and the
dedication. of said streets should be accepted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors of Story County, Iowa, that the plat of SECOND
ADDITION, SQUAW VALLEY SOUTH SUBDIVISION, STORY COUNTY, IOWA, be
and the same is hereby accepted and approved, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the dedication of the
streets within said plat be and the same are hereby accepted for
and on behalf of Story County, Iowa, for public use, provided,
however, that Story County, Iowa, shall not be responsible for
any maintenance or repair of said streets , and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all acts and deeds of
Robert F. Carey, as owner of said premises , be and they are
hereby confirmed and approved by the Board of Supervisors of
Story County, Iowa, this 25th day of June 1987 .

duly adopted.
We , Fred L. Mathison and Alvina M. McHone, being the
duly elected and appointed Chairman of the Board of .Supervisors
of Story County, Iowa, and the County Auditor of Story County,
Iowa, respectively, do hereby certify that the above and
foregoing Resolution is a true and accurate copy of said
Resolution; that said Resolution was duly passed and adopted by
the Board of Supervisors of Story County, Iowa, at a duly called
meeting thereof on the 25th day of June , 1987 .
