RESOLUTION NO. 16-670
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY FOR
3615 ZUMWALT STATION ROAD
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, application for a proposed Plat of Survey has been submitted for a boundary line
adjustment per Section 23.309 of the Municipal Code•, and,
WHEREAS, the site is located at 3615 Zumwalt Station Road, and the owner is Francis D. and
Suzanne J. Sanders; and,
WHEREAS, the real estate description is:
Parcel 'H': A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 17,
Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa, being more
particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast Corner of said Southwest
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter; thence N00°30'24"W, 251.81 feet along the East line
thereof to its intersection with the northerly line of the former railroad and the point of
beginning; thence continuing N00°30'24"W, 205.20 feet; thence S86°34'24"W, 346.88
feet to an existing fence line; thence S00°04'21'E, 399.85 feet along said line to the north
right of way line of Zumwalt Station Road; thence S89°26'29'E, 45.59 feet along said line
to the northerly line of said former railroad; thence N54°26'41'E, 371.18 feet along said
line to the point of beginning, containing 2.53 acres
WHEREAS, a preliminary decision of approval for the proposed Plat of Survey has been
rendered by the Planning and Housing Department with no conditions; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Ames, Iowa, that
the Plat of Survey for 3615 Zumwalt Station Road is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 15" day ofNovember, 2016.
