WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council
of Ames , Iowa, a Plat of real estate described as :
A part of Lot Two (2) in the East-half (EZ) of the
Northeast Quarter (NE4) ; Including a replat of
Lots One (1) , Two (2) , Three (3) , Four (4) , Five
(5) , and Six (6) ; in the Fourth Addition of Spring
Valley Subdivision; AND a part of the West-half
(WZ) of Pine Street (Vacated) , as platted in
Vest ' s Addition to New Philadelphia; AND a part of
the East 30 . 37 Acres of Lot Two (2) in the
West-half (WZ) of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) ; AND
a part of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of the
Northwest Quarter (NW-,) of the Southeast Quarter
(SE4) ; AND all of Lot Three (3) in the Northeast
Quarter (NE4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) ; ALL
in Section 6 - T83N - R24W of the 5th P.M. , in the

to be known as Sixth Addition Spring Valley Subdivision to Ames ,
Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Planning and Housing of the
City of Ames has recommended that the Plat be approved, and
WHEREAS , the said owners have dedicated for public use
as streets a portion of the said real estate, the location and
dimensions of which are accurately shown on the Plat, and
WHEREAS , it is the opinion of the City Council of the
City of Ames , Iowa, that the dedication of the streets should be
accepted by the Council , and
WHEREAS, a portion of the real estate constitutes a
replat of Lots 1 , 2 , 3 , 4, 5 , and 6 , in the Fourth Addition of
Spring Valley Subdivision and as such the City has no need to use
certain of its easement rights within the said six lots .
WHEREAS, it now appears that the owners of the real
estate have met all conditions , as required by law, concerning
the platting of the real estate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Ames , Iowa, that the Plat of the Sixth Addition
Spring Valley Subdivision to Ames , Iowa, be and it is hereby
accepted and approved, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the dedication of the
streets within said Plat be and the same is hereby accepted for
and on behalf of the City of Ames , Iowa, and all acts and doings
by the grantors in the premises are hereby confirmed and approved
by the City Council of the City of Ames , Iowa;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Ames do hereby
release the following easements within the Fourth Addition Spring
Valley Subdivision:
The North 5 Feet of Lots 1 , 3 , and 5 .
The West 10 Feet of Lots 1 , 2 , 3 , 4, 5 , and 6 .
The South 5 Feet of Lots 2 , and 4 .
The East 10 Feet of Lots 1 , 2 , 3 , 4, 5 , and 6 .

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all acts and doing by the
NEWSROLIGH,JOHNSTON, grantors in the premises are hereby confirmed and approved by the

the duly elected and appointed Mayor and City Clerk,
respectively, of the City of Ames , Iowa, do hereby certify that
the above and foregoing Resolution Number 88-331 is a true and
accurate copy of the said Resolution; and that the said
Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Ames , Iowa, at a duly called meeting thereof on the llth day
of October 1988.
