SUBJECT: Release of the public improvement lien in Prairie West Subdivision.
BACKGROUND:
As a part of the development of Prairie West Subdivision, security was required to
insure completion of the public and private improvements that were called for by the
development. The security for the improvements "runs with the land" and is binding on
the original land owners and subsequent land owners until it is released by the City.
The work in the subdivision was completed and the amount of the security was
decreased to $5,000 to complete pavement repairs. This partial lien was placed on
Lots 1 and 18 of Prairie West Subdivision. The contractor has satisfactorily completed
the pavement repairs and the developer has complied with all of the requirements of
the site development.
MANAGER'S RECOMMENDED ACTION:
It is recommended by the City Manager that the City Council release the lien on Lots 1
and 18 Prairie West Subdivision.
