ATTORNEY'S OPINION
I, Frank B. Johnston, hereby state that I am an Attorney
at Law, duly admitted to the practice of law in the State of Iowa,
and a member of the firm of Newbrough, Johnston, Brewer, Maddux &
Nadler, L.L.P. , with offices at 612 Kellogg Avenue, Ames, Story
County, Iowa. I further state that I have examined the Abstract
of Title to the following-described real estate, to-wit:
Lots Eight (8) and Nine (9) of Pete Cooper
Subdivision, Ames, Iowa, �r1I,^,
from the root of title thereof, down to and including the lbih
day of 1-Wit , 1996, last certified by Cyclone Abstract
& Title Co. , Ames, Iowa (Iowa Title Guaranty Division Member
#8195) . The real estate has been subdivided and is now known as
PETE COOPER SUBDIVISION, SECOND ADDITION, AMES, IOWA, A REPLAT OF
LOTS 8 AND 9, PETE COOPER SUBDIVISION, AMES, IOWA.
Based upon information within said Abstract of Title, it
is my opinion that the fee simple title to said real estate is in
DALE COOPER (also known as Dale R. Cooper and as Pete Cooper) , an
unmarried person, KATHY JEAN COOPER, an unmarried person, KITTY SUE
COOPER, an unmarried person, CYNTHIA ANN COOPER, an unmarried
person, and PAUL KEVIN COOPER, an unmarried person.

DALE COOPER is the owner of Lot 7 and KATHY JEAN COOPER,
KITTY SUE COOPER, CYNTHIA ANN COOPER, and PAUL KEVIN COOPER are

Ln Lot 6 of this new subdivision.

The real estate within the subdivision is free from
encumbrances, excepting, it is subject to a Covenant for
OAssessments of Costs of Improvements filed in the office of the
wRecorder of Story County, Iowa, on October 29, 1993, in Book 560,
commencing at page 174.
The property is further subject to easements of record

and to zoning ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa.
