Home My WebLink About~Master - Contract and bond for Boiler Tube Spray Coating and Related Services and Supplies for Power Plant RESOLUTION NO. 15-657 RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT AND BOND FOR BOILER TUBE SPRAY COATING AND RELATED SERVICES AND SUPPLIES FOR POWER PLANT FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA WHEREAS,this City Council has heretofore determined it advisable and necessary that certain improvements be performed in the City of Ames, Iowa, such project having been designated as the Boiler Tube Spray Coating and Related Services and Supplies for the Power Plant; and, pursuant to notice and hearing, bids were received on the l Ph day of February, 2015, as called for in the detailed plans and specifications as prepared by the Finance Department/Purchasing Division and filed with the City Clerk on the 9th day of January, 2015; and, WHEREAS,this Council has heretofore determined that the bid of Integrated Global Services, Inc., of Richmond, Virginia, in the amount of$100,000 is the lowest and best bid submitted for the construction of said project; and, WHEREAS, contract in the form provided in said plans and specifications has been executed by said contractor, and satisfactory performance bond has been filed by said contractor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. The contract between the City of Ames, Iowa, and Integrated Global Services,Inc., of Richmond, Virginia, in the amount of$100,000 dated the 27th day of October, 2015, for the performance of the Boiler Tube Spray Coating and Related Services and Supplies for the Power Plant as provided for in the detailed plans and specifications referred to in the preamble hereof, and the performance bond of the said contractor with Bankers Insurance Company of St. Petersburg, Florida, as surety thereon, in the amount of $100,000.00 filed in connection therewith, be and the same are hereby approved. Section 2. All resolutions or order or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extend of such conflict. ADOPTED THIS 271h day of October, 2015. Diane R. Voss, City Clerk Ann H.
