SUBDIVISION SIDEWALK BOND A U G 12 1983
PATIO HOMES WEST FIRST ADDITION
WHEREAS, construction of sidewalks in the Patio Homes West First Addition by the
subdivider is a condition . for approval by the City of Ames of the plat of said addi-
tion; and,
WHEREAS, it is desired that in accordance with customary building practice the
construction of a sidewalk pertaining to a lot in said addition not be done until
completion of a principal building on the lot so as to avoid destruction of the side-
walk by passage of heavy construction equipment and vehicles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT KNOWN
That Don Furman and Erb Hunziker personally and as principals; and, H & F, as
corporate surety, are hereby held and firmly bound as obligors unto the obligee City of
Ames, Iowa in the penal sum of $8,500.00 for the payment of which sum, well and truly
to be made, we do jointly and severally bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, succes-
sors and assigns hereby, this being a covenant to run with the land.
The condition of the above obligation is such that if all sidewalks required to be
constructed as a condition for approval of the plat of the aforesaid addition shall be
properly constructed in accordance with the standards and specifications of the City of
Ames Department of Public Works, with relation to each and every lot, then this obli-
gation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
Nothing herein shall be deemed an impediment to a resolution of necessity and
assessment for a sidewalk with respect to lots in the said addition.
