RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR PURCHASE OF STREET SWEEPER AND CHASSIS
FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, bids and proposals were received for the purchase of a Street Sweeper and
Chassis for the Public Works Department, City of Ames, Iowa. Said bids have now been carefully
analyzed.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,as follows:
Section 1: Award of contract is made as follows:
To Peterbilt of Des Moines, Iowa, in the total amount of$213,737 (which includes
the $10,000 right-hand only steering deduction and $25,000 trade-in allowance).
Section 2: The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said contract for and
on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal of the City thereto.
Section 3: All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
