RIGHT-.OF-WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT
We, Erben A. Hunziker and Margaret H. Hunziker, Husband and Wife,
and Donald M. Furman and Ruth W. Furman, Husband and Wife, being the owners

of Lots 1 through 13, inclusive, Third Addition to Orchard Estates Subdivision
L of Ames, Iowa, and Mary Ann Wershay and Robert J. Wershay, being the owners
, L_J of or having an interest in Lot 14, Third Addition to Orchard Estates Sub-
division of Ames, Iowa, in consideration of the sum of One Dollar ($1 .00) , the
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant to the City of Ames,
Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successors and assigns, a perpetual, right to
construct, reconstruct, maintain and use its electric lines, consisting of
poles , wires, overhead and underground cable, fixtures, anchors and other
similar equipment or any part therefor, for the sole purpose of conveying.
electric current for power and light purposes, together with the right to
extend to any telephone, electric or power company the right to use jointly
with grantee, any pole placed pursuant to the provisions thereof together with
the right to trim any trees to allow for clearance of at least four (4) feet
where necessary to secure adequate clearance for the safe operation of electric
lines upon, underground or adjacent to that real estate located in Third
Addition to Orchard Estates Subdivision of Ames, Iowa, and more specifically
described as:

City of Ames will assume liability for all damage to the herein described
property caused by the said City's failure to use due care in its exercise
