HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Contract and bond for River Valley Park Complex Irrigation Project RESOLUTION NO. 15-123 RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT AND BOND FOR RIVER VALLEY PARK COMPLEX IRRIGATION PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA WHEREAS,this City Council has heretofore determined it advisable and necessary that certain improvements be performed in the City of Ames,Iowa,such project having been designated as the River Valley Park Complex Irrigation Project; and,pursuant to notice and hearing,bids were received on the 28`h day of January, 2015, as called for in the detailed plans and specifications as prepared by the Finance Department/Purchasing Division and filed with the City Clerk on the 15d' day of December, 2014; and, WHEREAS,this Council has heretofore determined that the bid of T&T Sprinkler Service,Inc., of Johnston, Iowa, in the amount of $107,125.00 is the lowest and best bid submitted for the construction of said project; and, WHEREAS, contract in the form provided in said plans and specifications has been executed by said contractor, and satisfactory performance bond has been filed by said contractor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. The contract between the City of Ames, Iowa, and T&T Sprinkler Service, Inc., of Johnston,Iowa,in the amount of$107,125.00 dated the I Oth day of February,2015,for the River Valley Park Complex Irrigation Project as provided for in the detailed plans and specifications referred to in the preamble hereof,and the performance bond of the said contractor with Western National Mutual Insurance Company of the State of Minnesota,as surety thereon,in the amount of$107,125.00 filed in connection therewith, be and the same are here0by approved. Section 2. All resolutions or order or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extend of such conflict. ADOPTED THIS 3rd day of March, 2015. A. Diane R. Voss, City Clerk Ann H.
