consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Grantor,

to the Grantee,THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,perpetual easement and right-of-way in,over,upon,
through, and under the following described premises:
Ten(10)foot wide easement,across part of Lot One(1),Northcrest Subdivision,in the City
of Ames, Story County, Iowa; Five (5) feet on each side of the following described centerline:
Beginning at a point on the north line of said Lot 1,which is S 89'05'48”W,47.55 feet from
the Northeast(NE) corner thereof;thence S 06' 21' 12" W,4.11 feet;thence S 34'21'21"
W,46.06 feet;thence S 22'03' 15"W,24.11 feet;thence S 53'28'41" W, 11.35 feet(to a
point designated"F");thence continuing S 53'28'41"W, 5.05 feet;thence S 31°02'49"E,
29.36 feet;thence S 15'39'30"E, 184.58 feet;thence S 02'04'59"W,44.31 feet(to a point
designated"G") and the Point of Ending.

An easement area for the transformer pads; described as follows:

06' 05" W, 14.93 feet to the Point of Beginning.

An easement area for the transfer pad; described as follows:
Beginning at a point designated"G",thence S 65'59' 19"W, 16.00 feet,thence S 24'00'41"
E, 15.00 feet; thence N 65' 59' 19" E, 16.00 feet; thence N 24' 00'41" W, 15.00 feet to the Point
of Beginning.
as shown on the attached Amended Easement Plat, only for the purpose of constructing,repairing,
maintaining and operating electrical transmission lines including equipment and apparatus,over,upon,
diioL'g i and ander the above described premises. For the purposes aforesaid, the Grantee, its
officers, employees, agents, licensees, successors, and assigns shall at all times have the right and
privilege of access to the above described premises.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the users of the granted
rights will assume liability for all damage to the real estate described herein and any adjacent real
estate caused by failure to use due care in the exercise of the granted rights.
These grants of easement and right of way shall be binding upon the heirs, successors, and
assigns of the Grantor.
