RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE IN DATES FOR
ELECTRIC SERVICES GT1 RETURN TO SERVICE PROJECT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS,on January 30,2015,Council approved preliminary specifications for the GT 1
Return to Service Project and issued a Notice to Bidders; and,
WHEREAS, the original resolution set February 19, 2015, as the bid due date and
February 24, 2015, as the public hearing and contract award; and,
WHEREAS, all told, 94 questions have been raised regarding the project,the schedule,and
the bidding process; and,
WHEREAS,the scope of work and the specifications for the work to repair the GT 1 Return
to Service Project is very complicated,therefore, staff has determined that it would be in the City's
best interest to extend the bid due date to allow all interested bidders additional time to put together
complete bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the requested date changes for the GT1 Return to Service Project, whereby setting March 12,
2015, as the bid due date and March 24, 2015, as the date of public hearing, are hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 17`h day of February, 2015.
