WATER MAIN EASEMENTS
FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) and other valuable
consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Grantor,
NORTHCREST, INC., an Iowa corporation of Story County, Iowa, does hereby grant and convey
to the Grantee,THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,perpetual easements and right-of-way in,over,upon,
through, and under the following described premises:
Fourteen(14)foot wide easements, across Lot One (1),Northcrest Subdivision, in the City
of Ames, Story County, Iowa; Seven (7) feet on each side of the following described centerlines:
Beginning at a point on the south line of said Lot 1, which is S 88046'46" W, 148.46 feet
from the Southeast (SE) corner thereof; thence N 01°13'14" W, 163.59 feet; thence N
68011'14" W, 265.10 feet (to a point designated "B"); thence continuing N 68'11,14" W,
78.17 feet;thence N 01°05'14"W, 86.49 feet(to a point previously designated"A");thence
N 87051'17" W,26.01 feet;thence N 04°22'26"E,241.21 feet;thence N 88°54'46"E,24.42
feet; thence N 01005'14" W, 180.80 feet; thence N 27°51'14" W, 398.80 feet; thence N
50021'14" W, 46.00 feet; thence N 72051'14" W, 25.38 feet; thence N 17°08'46" E, 51.43
feet; thence N 01°13'14" W, 12.38 feet to a point of the north line of Lot 1, which is S
89005'48" W, 29.82 feet from the Northeast(NE) corner thereof, and the Point of Ending.
AND
Beginning at a point designed"E";thence N 21°48'46"E,67.12 feet;thence N 62008'02"E,
117.39 feet to the Point of Ending.
as shown on the attached Amended Easement Plat, only for the purpose of constructing, repairing,
maintaining and operating a water main in, over, upon, through and under the above described
premises. For the purposes aforesaid, the Grantee, its officers, employees, agents, licensees,
successors,and assigns shall at all times have the right and privilege of access to the above described
premises.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the users of the granted
rights will assume liability for all damage to the real estate described herein and any adjacent real
estate caused by failure to use due care in the exercise of the granted rights.
These grants of easement and right of way shall be binding upon the heirs, successors, and
assigns of the Grantor.
