RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACT 1
EASEMENTS FOR THE NEW WATER TREATMENT PLANT
AND THE SKUNK RIVER RECREATIONAL TRAIL
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS, in order to complete Contract 1 of the construction of the new water treatment
plant, it was necessary to obtain permanent and temporary easements on private property along the
route of the piping; and,
WHEREAS, voluntary easements were obtained from all property owners along the pipe
route except the properties at 800 and 1100 East 13t'Street,which is owned by Liberty Court,LLC;
and,
WHEREAS,voluntary easements for the pipeline have now been agreed to by Liberty Court,
LLC,and Liberty Court,LLC has also agreed to an easement for the Skunk River Recreational Trail.
THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa,that
the purchase agreement to pay $54,131 to Liberty Court, LLC, for the necessary easements on
property located at 800 and 1100 East 13th Street related to Contract 1 for the new Water Treatment
Plant and for the Skunk River Recreational Trail is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 10'day of November, 2014.
