KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS:
That the CITY OF AMES, IOWA, a municipal.. corporation,
in consideration of the sum of One Dollar ( $1 . 00 )... and other. good
and valuable consideration in hand paid, does hereby- quitclaim
unto IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY ACHIEVEMENT FOUNDATION, '.:an'-Iowa -
nonprofit corporation, all its right, title, interest" .;estate,
claim and demand in the following-described real estate"s'ituated
in Story County, Iowa, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the South right-of-way line of
Airport Road in the City of Ames, Iowa , at a point 396
Feet East of the NW Corner of the SW 1/4 of Section 15,
Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P .M. , Iowa;
thence East along said right-of-way line 1 ,063 . 1 Feet to
the Westerly right-of-way line of the former Chicago and
Northwestern Railway right-of-way; thence Southeasterly
100 Feet to the intersection of the Easterly right-of-way
line of said Chicago and Northwestern Railway right-of-way
with the South right-of-way line of Airport Road, said
intersection being 40 Feet South of , measured at right
angles, the North line of said SW 1/4 ; thence
Northeasterly along the Easterly right-of-way line of said
Chicago and Northwestern Railway right-of-way 89 . 4 Feet to
the intersection with the North right-of-way line of
Airport Road, said intersection being 40 Feet North of ,
measured at right angles , the North line of said SW 1/4 ;
thence Northwesterly 100 Feet to the intersection of the
Westerly right-of-way line of said Chicago and
Northwestern Railway right-of-way with the North
right-of-way line of Airport Road, said intersection being
80 Feet North of , measured at right angles , the North line
of said SW 1/4 ; thence West along the North right-of-way
line of said Airport Road parallel to and 80 Feet distant
from the South right-of-way line of said Airport Road a
distance of 562 . 4 Feet; thence North 7 . 0 Feet; thence
Northwesterly 564 . 24 Feet; thence South 120 . 97 Feet to the
point of beginning;
(said teal estate constituting the vacated part of Airport
Road in the City of Ames , Iowa) .
This Quit Claim Deed is exempt from Iowa Transfer Tax
pursuant to Section 428A/. 2( 6 ) , The Code of Iowa.

On this '`I ' day of December, 1987 , before me, the
undersigned, a Notary Public in and for the State of Iowa,
personally appeared F. Paul Goodland and Nancy Gibbons, to me
personally known, and who, being by me duly sworn, did state that
they are the Mayor and the City Clerk, respectively, of the City
of Ames, Iowa; that the seal affixed to the foregoing instrument
is the corporate seal of said municipal corporation, and that the
instrument was signed and sealed on behalf of the municipal
corporation by authority of its City Council , as contained in the
Resolution adopted by the City Council of the City .of Ames, Iowa,
under Roll Call and Resolution Number 87-318 of the City Council
of the City of Ames, Iowa, on the loth day of November, 1987 , and
that F. Paul Goodland and Nancy Gibbons acknowledged the
execution of the instrument to be their voluntary act and deed
and the voluntary act and deed of the municipal corporation, by
it voluntarily executed.
