HomeMy WebLinkAboutA001 - Resolution No. 80-232 adopted June 3, 1980 p . m c a a .- RESOLUTION NO. 80-232 ACCEPTING THE PLAT OF INGLIS SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF AMES , IOWA, AND ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF CERTAIN LAND FOR STREET PURPOSES . WHEREAS , there has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Ames , Iowa, a plat of the land hereinafter de- scribed designated as "INGLIS SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF AMES , IOWA. " WHEREAS , said plat has been submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission as required by law and has been returned to the City Council with the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission. WHEREAS , Marjo , Inc . ; and James W. Inglis and Helen F. Inglis , as sole owners of said real estate, have executed and duly acknowledged an instrument consenting to said plat. WHEREAS , it nows appears that said owners of said real estate have complied with all of the requirements of Chapter 409 of the Code of Iowa and the platting; ordinance of the City of Ames with respect to the platting of said real estate. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Ames , Iowa, does hereby accept and approve the plat of INGLIS SUB- DIVISION OF THE CITY OF AMES , IOWA, involving the real estate described on EXHIBIT A attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference thereto. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Ames , Iowa, does hereby accept for street right-of-way purposes that certain land lying adjacent to the southerly boundary of said Inglis Subdivision and constituting part of the right-of-way of Hickory Drive and Westbrook Drive as conveyed by Quit Claim Deed to the City of Ames , Iowa , by Marjo , Inc . , and James W. Inglis and Helen F. Inglis under date of May 9 , 1980 . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Ames , Iowa, are hereby authorized and directed to certify and affix to said plat a true copy of this resolution.
