HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - 2014/15 Pay Plan RESOLUTION NO. 14-290 RESOLUTION APPROVING 2014/15 PAY PLAN FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS, each year the City Council approves a Pay Plan that specifies pay ranges and steps for the City's work force; and, WHEREAS, the 2014/2015 Pay Plan reflects the negotiated wage settlements with the five bargaining units, as well as a 2% increase for merit(nonunion) employee job classifications; and, WHEREAS, funding for the various salaries was previously approved in the 2014/2015 Budget; and, WHEREAS, the bargaining units' respective across-the-board settlements are 2.25% for IUOE-Blue Collar, 2.25% for IBEW-Electric Distribution, 2.25% for IUOE-Electric Production, 2.25% for IAFF-Fire, and 2.25% for PPME-Police; and, WHEREAS, unclassified job categories are adjusted proportionally with merit or union employees or the relevant labor market; and, WHEREAS, the statutory minimum wage is retained as the scale minimum for temporary Unclassified Laborers and Office Workers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the 2014/15 Pay Plan is hereby approved. ADOPTED THIS 27t''day of May, 2014. Diane R. Voss, City Clerk Ann H.
