EASEMENT
The Iowa State University Research Foundation, Inc. , an
Iowa corporation, in consideration of the sum of One Dollar, re-
ceipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby grant to the
City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successors and
assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain
and use its electric lines , consisting of poles , wires, overhead
or underground cables, fixtures, anchors and other similar equipment,
or any part thereof, upon, underground, over or across the following-
described real estate:
The East 25' of Lot 1 ; East 25' of Lots 3, 4, 5 and 6;
Southeast 25' of Lot 7; South 25' of Lots 8 and 9;
Southwest 25' of Lot 10; West 25' of Lots 11 and 12;
West and South 25' of Lot 13; and South 10' of Lot 1 ;
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 2; thence South-
easterly 44 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 14; thence
S 34°36'W 112.99 feet along a line common to Lot 2 and Lot
14; thence N 6°29' E 99.97 feet; thence N 45°32'E 47.29 feet
along a line common to Lot 2 and Lot 3, to the point of
beginning;
The east 10 feet of Lots 9, 10, 11 , 12, and 13;
The south 10' of Lot 11 and the north 10' of Lot 12;
The south 10 feet, the west 10 feet and the Northeast 25' of
Lot 14;
The north 10 feet of Lot 15; and
All outlot areas,
all within Gateway Hills II , Ames, Story CoL!nty, Iowa, for the
sole purpose of conveying electric current for power and lighting
purposes. We further grant to the City of Ames , Iowa, the right
to permit other utility companies to construct and, in the same
manner, maintain its utility facilities, jointly or severally,
upon, underground, over or across the real estate as described
above.
We further grant to the city of Ames, Iowa, a municipal
corporation, its successors and assigns, the perpetual right to
construct, reconstruct, maintain and use its underground or above
ground storm sewer and storm water management system within the
real estate described as follows:
Beginning at a point 78.0 feet north of the southwest corner
of Lot 12, thence east 25.0 feet; thence northwesterly parallel
to the east right-of-way line of Ironwood Court for a distance
of 35.0 feet; thence west 25.0 feet to said right-of-way line;
thence southeasterly along said right-of-way line to the point
of beginning,
all within Gateway Hills II , Ames, Story County, Iowa.

The foregoing rights are granted upon the express con-
dition the users of the granted rights will assume liability for
all damage to the hereinbefore described real estate and adjoining
real estate caused by failure to use due care in the exercise of
the granted rights.
