The Iowa State University Research Foundation, Inc . ,
an Iowa corporation, in consideration of the sum of One Dollar ,
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby grant
to the City of Ames , Iowa , a municipal corporation, its suc-
cessors and assigns , the perpetual right to construct, re-
construct, maintain and use its electric lines , consisting
of poles, wires , overhead or underground cables , fixtures ,
anchors and other similar equipment, or any part thereof ,
upon, underground, over or across the following-described
real estate:
The South 10 Feet of Lot 1;
The North 10 Feet of Lot 3 ;
A strip 10 Feet in width along the South-
westerly 68 . 05 Feet of Lot 2 ; and
A strip 10 Feet in width along the North-
easterly 68 . 05 Feet of Lot 3 ,
all within Gateway Hills Plat A, Ames , Story County, Iowa,
for the sole purpose of conveying electric current for power
and lighting purposes . We further grant to the City of Ames ,
Iowa, the right to permit other utility companies to construct
and , in the same manner, maintain its utility facilities ,
jointly or severally, upon, underground, over or across the
real estate as described above.
We further grant to the City of Ames , Iowa, a
municipal corporation, its successors and assigns , the
perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and
use its underground or above ground storm sewer and storm
water management system within the real estate described
as follows :
A strip 10 Feet in width along the South-
westerly 68 . 05 Feet of Lot 2 ; and
A strip 10 Feet in width along the North-
easterly 68 . 05 Feet of Lot 3 ,
all within Gateway Hills Plat A, Ames , Story County, Iowa .

The foregoing rights are granted upon the express
condition the users of the granted rights will assume
liability for all damage to the hereinbefore described
real estate and adjoining real estate caused by failure
to use due care in the exercise of the granted rights .

undersigned, a Notary Public in and for said County and State,
personally appeared Thamon E . Hazen and Daniel L. Griffen, Jr . ,
to me personally known, who, being by me duly sworn, did say
that they are the President and Secretary, respectively, of
said corporation; that said instrument was signed and sealed
on behalf of said corporation by authority of its Board of
Directors; and that the said Thamon E. Hazen and Daniel L.
Griffen, Jr. , as such officers , acknowledged the execution
of said instrument to be the voluntary act and deed of said
corporation, by it and by them voluntarily executed.
