The Iowa State University Research Foundation, Inc . ,
an Iowa corporation, in consideration of the sum of One Dollar,
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby grant to the
City of Ames , Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successors and
assigns , the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain
and use its electric lines, consisting of poles , wires , overhead or
underground cables, fixtures , anchors and other similar equipment,
or any part thereof, upon, underground, over or across the following-
described real estate:
The North 10 Feet of Lots 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 10 ,
11 and 12 ;
The East 5 Feet of Lots 4 , 9 , 10 and 12 ;
The West 5 Feet of Lots 3 , 7 , 8 and 11;
The West 10 Feet of Lots 24 , 25 and 31;
The East 10 Feet of Lots 14 , 15 , 16 , 17 , 18 , 19 ,
20 and 21;
The North 5 Feet of Lot 14 ;
The South 5 Feet of Lot 15 and 31,
all within Gateway Hills , Ames , Story County, Iowa, for the sole
purpose of conveying electric current for power and lighting
purposes. We further grant to the City of Ames , Iowa, the right
to permit other utility companies to construct and, in the same
manner, maintain its utility facilities , jointly or severally, upon,
underground, over or across the real estate as described above.
We further grant to the City of Ames , Iowa, a municipal
corporation, its successors and assigns , the perpetual right of
ingress and egress upon the following-described real estate:
The North 50 Feet of Outlot X,
all within Gateway Hills , Ames, Story County, Iowa.
We further grant to the City of Ames , Iowa, a municipal
corporation, its successors and assigns, the perpetual right to
construct, reconstruct, maintain and use its underground water,
storm and sanitary sewer systems within the real estate

The foregoing rights are granted upon the express
condition the users of the granted rights will assume liability
for all damage to the hereinbefore described real estate and
adjoining real estate caused by failure to use due care in the
exercise of the granted rights .

personally appeared Thamon E. Hazen and Daniel L. Griffen, Jr. ,
