AUDITOR'S PLATTING CERTIFICATE
I, Judy R. Emmons, Auditor of Story County, Iowa, acting pursuant to sections
354.13 and 354.16 of the Code of Iowa (1993), do hereby certify as follows: The tract
of real estate shown and described on the attached subdivision plat prepared and certified
by Robert L. Stumbo, Jr., a registered land surveyor, was subdivided by the proprietor
thereof in violation of section 354.6 of the Code of Iowa (1993). On October 27, 1992,
I mailed to the current proprietors of said tract a notice in which I demanded that said
proprietors record a subdivision plat of said tract within 30 days as required by Chapter
354 of the Code of Iowa (1993). A copy of said notice is attached to and made a part of
this certificate. I have caused said attached subdivision plat to be made and recorded by
reason of the failure of said proprietors to do so. Said subdivision plat was prepared for
assessment and taxation purposes and does not constitute a dedication or impose any
liability upon the state or any governmental agency. No search was made at the time of
recording said subdivision plat to determine the existence of any liens, mortgages, delin-
quent taxes or special assessments; no search was made, other than the records of the
auditor's office, to establish title to the property within the subdivision plat; and the lots
within the subdivision plat are subject individually to the regulations and ordinances of
the City of Ames, Iowa. A certified copy of the resolution of the City Council of Ames,
Iowa, approving said subdivision plat is recorded with this certificate. Said subdivision
plat shall be known and identified as: GATEWAY-GREEN HILLS SUBDIVISION
SECOND ADDITION TO AMES, IOWA.

County, Iowa.

AUDITOR'S CERTIFICATE IN SUPPORT OF AUDITOR' S PLAT
I, Judy R. Emmons, the Auditor of Story County, Iowa, state :
1 . Real estate in the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, was
previously platted as Gateway-Green Hills Subdivision.
2 . Lot 1 of that Subdivision was subsequently divided without
filing a subdivision plat in violation of Section 354 . 6 Code of
Iowa.
3 . On October 27, 1992, I notified each of the proprietors of
the parcels within the tract by mail to each of their last known
addresses demanding that a subdivision plat be recorded. See list
of proprietors and addresses attached.
4 . None of the proprietors complied with the notice and
demand to plat, nor filed a statement of intent to comply, within
30 days of the notice and demand.
5 . No proprietor appealed the notice and demand to plat to
the district court within 20 days after service of the notice and
demand.
6 . On or about November 30, 1992, I contracted with Stumbo
and Associates--Land Surveyors, Inc . , to survey the property and
make an auditor' s plat to comply with Chapter 354 Code of Iowa.
7 . This Auditor' s Plat was prepared at my direction because
the proprietors failed to file a plat .
8 . This plat is prepared for taxation and assessment
purposes .
9 . The recording of this plat does not constitute a
dedication, and does not impose any liability upon the state or any
governmental agency.
10 . No search was made at the time of the recording of this
plat to determine the existence of any liens, mortgages, delinquent
taxes, or special assessmentes; no search was made, other than the
records of the auditor' s office, to establish title to the property
within the plat ; and the lots within the plat are subject,
individually, to the regulations and ordinances of the applicable
governing body.
