RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL WAIVER
OF SIDEWALK INSTALLATION REQUIREMENT
FOR DAYTON INDUSTRIAL PARK SUBDIVISION
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, the developers of the proposed Dayton Industrial Park Subdivision have
requested that the requirement for the installation of sidewalks be waived with respect to this
Subdivision; and,
WHEREAS, the requirement for the installation of sidewalks is provided for in Section
23.403(14)(a) of the Subdivision Regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the developer alleges that the development is planned for large lots with
industrial users and there will be little or no pedestrian traffic; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has granted waivers of sidewalk installation in the past.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that a partial waiver of sidewalk installation is hereby approved;thus,sidewalks are required on one
side of the street, with the developer and City to determine on which side the sidewalk will be
constructed.
