Mayor and Council Members City of Ames, Iowa 515 Clark Avenue Ames, IA 50010 RE: Fourth Addition, Dauntless Subdivision, Ames, Iowa Petition for waiver of right-of-way width of Dickinson Avenue Dear Mayor Tedesco and Members of the City Council: We represent Terra Firma, L.P., Everett W. Cochrane and Marjorie L. Cochrane, Jensen Development Corporation, LTD., and Erben A. Hunziker as Trustee of the Erben A. Hunziker Revocable Trust, the proprietors of the Outlots Q, R, S, U, V, and W of First Addition, Dauntless Subdivision, Ames, Iowa. The proprietors have submitted to the city for approval a proposed Fourth Addition, Dauntless Subdivision, Ames, Iowa. The proprietors hereby request that the City Council make an exception to the new street width requirement which would dictate a 66-foot right-of-way for Dickinson Avenue and permit the new street to be platted with a 60-foot right-of-way. It should be noted that approximately 200 feet of the street south from the intersection of Dickinson Avenue and Steinbeck Street has already been platted with a 60-foot right-of-way. I have been authorized to advise the City Council that the Planning and Housing Department and the Public Works Department support this petition and join the this re- quest approval.
