Outlot J—Explanation of reservation
Dear Mayor Tedesco and Members of the City Council:
We represent Terra Firma, L.P., Everett W. Cochrane and Marjorie L. Cochrane,
Jensen Development Corporation, LTD., and Erben A. Hunziker as Trustee of the Erben
A. Hunziker Revocable Trust, the proprietors of the Outlots Q, R, S, U, V, and W of First
Addition, Dauntless Subdivision, Ames, Iowa. The proprietors have submitted to the city
for approval a proposed Fourth Addition, Dauntless Subdivision, Ames, Iowa.
The proprietors have arranged that Outlot J be created and reserved to the present
owner, Terra Firma, L.P., for ease of anticipated conveyance to the City or State for use
as an exit ramp from U.S. Highway 30 to South Dakota Avenue. It is our understanding
that the City staff have seen some form of preliminary plans and specifications that utilize
this land for that purpose.
