HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Contract and bond for Furnishing of SF6 Circuit Breakers RESOLUTION NO. 13-371 RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT AND BOND FOR FURNISHING OF SF6 CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA WHEREAS,this City Council has heretofore determined it advisable and necessary that certain improvements be constructed in the City of Ames, Iowa, such project having been designated as Furnishing of S176 Circuit Breakers; and,pursuant to notice and hearing,bids were received on the 26th day of June, 2013, as called for in the detailed plans and specifications as prepared by the DGR Engineering of Rock Rapids, Iowa, and filed with the City Clerk on the 11 to day of June, 2013; and, WHEREAS, this Council has heretofore determined that the bid of Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc., of Warrendale, Pennsylvania, in the amount of$169,131.75 is the lowest and best bid submitted for the construction of said project; and, WHEREAS, contract in the form provided in said plans and specifications has been executed by said contractor, and satisfactory performance bond has been filed by said contractor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. The contract between the City of Ames, Iowa, and Mitsubishi Electric Power Products,Inc.,of Warrendale,Pennsylvania,dated the 23rd day of July,2013,for the Furnishing of SF6 Circuit Breakers as provided for in the detailed plans and specifications referred to in the preamble hereof, and the performance bond of the said contractor with Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland of Schaumburg,Illinois,as surety thereon,in the amount of$169,131.75 filed in connection therewith, be and the same are hereby approved. Section 2. All resolutions or order or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extend of such conflict. ADOPTED THIS 13th day of August, 2013. _C�I—Nj f 1 tom• � � Diane R.
