RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY FOR
928 GARFIELD AVENUE (REAR)AND 447 WESTWOOD DRIVE (REAR)
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, application for a proposed Plat of Survey has been submitted for a boundary line
adjustment per Section 23.309 of the Municipal Code; and,
WHEREAS,the sites are located at 928 Garfield Avenue(rear)and 447 Westwood Drive(rear),
and the owners are the City of Ames and Michael Satterwhite and Carla Weiner, respectively; and,
WHEREAS, the real estate description is (Parcel L): All of Parcel A of a Retracement Plat of
Survey filed in the Story County Recorder's Office on February 3,2012 in Slide 426,Page 2,and part of
Parcel G of an Amended Plat of Survey filed in the Story County Recorder's Office on August 24,2005
in Slide 248, Page 1, being located in Section 5, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P. M.,
City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, and being more particularly described as follows; Beginning at the
Center of said Section 5, also known as the Northwest Corner of said Parcel G; thence S89°46'19"E,
106.92 feet to the Southwest Corner of said Parcel A;thence N00°26'56"W,339.33 feet to the Northwest

WHEREAS,a preliminary decision of approval for the proposed Plat of Survey has been rendered
by the Planning and Housing Department with no conditions; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that
the Plat of Survey for 928 Garfield Avenue (rear) and 447 Westwood Drive (rear) is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 23rd day of July, 2013.
