RESOLUTION APPROVING DATE CHANGES FOR 2013 SOFTBALL FIELD
FENCING AND LIGHTING SOUTH RIVER VALLEY PARK PROJECT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS, on May 14, 2013, the City Council approved preliminary plans and
specifications for the 2013 Softball Field Fencing and Lighting South River Valley Park Project;and,
WHEREAS, along with this action,the Council set the bid due date as June 12,2013, along
with the date of public hearing for June 25, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, on June 7, 2013, City staff was made aware that soil samples are needed for
contractors to quote the project accurately; and,
WHEREAS,therefore, additional time is needed to take soil samples and provide that data
to the project contractors; and,
WHEREAS, staff is requesting that the City Council approve the revised bid due date of
July 16, 2013, and changing the date of public hearing to July 23, 2013.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the change of the bid due date and date of public hearing to July 16, 2013, and July 23, 2013,
respectively, for the 2013 Softball Field Fencing and Lighting South River Valley Park Project, is
hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 11tn day of June, 2013.
