RESOLUTION NO. 12-536
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY FOR
517 GRAND AVENUE
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, application for a proposed Plat of Survey has been submitted for a boundary line
adjustment per Section 23.309 of the Municipal Code; and,
WHEREAS, the site is located at 517 Grand Avenue, and the owner is Danny D. And Julianne
Craig; and,
WHEREAS,the real estate description is:(Parcel"A")Lot 1,except the South 3.5 feet of the East
142 feet thereof,as shown on the Plat of Survey filed on December 17, 1991,in Book 10,Page 147,and
except that portion thereof sold to the City of Ames for right of way as described in the Warranty Deed
filed on July 1, 1965,in Book 128,Page 264,and the East 10 feet of Lot 4,all in Block 25,College Park
Addition First North, City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, and as described in a Warranty Deed filed on
July 31, 1997,at Inst. No. 97-08126, and all being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at
the Northwest Corner of the East 10 feet of said Lot 4 as monumented;thence N89°57'26"E,209.91 feet
along the North line of said Lots 4 and 1 to the West line of Grand Avenue;thence following said West
line S40°20'06"E, 7.72 feet; thence S03°32'53"E, 8.02 feet; thence S03°40'48"E, 69.58 feet; thence
S05040'53"E, 14.03 feet to the North line of the South 3.5 feet of said Lot 1; thence S89055'00"W,
139.43 feet along said line; thence S00°07'00"W, 3.48 feet along the West line of the East 142 feet of
said Lot 1 to the South line of said Lot 1; thence S89°56'22"W, 81.78 feet to the Southwest Corner of
the East 10 feet of said Lot 4; thence N00°0l'16"W, 100.90 feet to the point of beginning, containing
0.49 acres; and,
WHEREAS,a preliminary decision of approval for the proposed Plat of Survey has been rendered
by the Planning and Housing Department with no conditions; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that
the Plat of Survey for 517 Grand Avenue is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 91h day of October, 2012.
