HomeMy WebLinkAboutA034 - Council Action Form dated October 22, 1996 Item # 1 -7 Date: October 22, 1996 COUNCIL ACTION FORM SUBJECT: ABANDONMENT OF WATER MAIN AND GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENTS ACROSS PARTS OF LOT 2 COCHRANE'S SECOND ADDITION SUBDIVISION. BACKGROUND: The developer of Lot 2 Cochrane's Second Addition Subdivision has revised the site plan for the apartment complex planned for this lot. This revision requires relocation of the existing fire hydrants and abandonment of unnecessary water main and utility easements that would be occupied by the relocated buildings. Relocation of the fire hydrants is entirely of the developers expense. These easements are described as follows: General Utility: A 20 foot wide strip across part of Lot 2, Cochrane's Second Addition Subdivision, 10 feet on each side of the following described centerline: Commencing at the southeast (SE) corner of said Lot 2; thence S 90" 00' 00" W, 338.70 feet to the point of beginning; thence N 00' 00' 00" E, 48.50 feet; thence S 900 00' 00" W, 189.51 feet to the west line of said Lot 2 and the point of ending. [Recorded instrument #94-11911(3) and #94-11912(3).] Water Main #1 : A 10 foot wide strip across part of Lot 2 Cochrane's Second Addition Subdivision, 5 feet on each side of the following described centerline: Commencing at the southeast (SE) corner of said Lot 2; thence S 90° 00' 00" W, 183.33 feet to the point of beginning; thence N 00' 00' 00" E, 50.50 feet to the point of ending. [Recorded instrument #94-11911(4) and #94-11912(4).] Water Main #2: A 10 foot wide strip across part of Lot 2 Cochrane's Second Addition Subdivision, 5 feet on each side of the following described centerline: Commencing at the southeast (SE) corner of said Lot 2; thence S 90' 00' 00" W, 431 .83 feet; thence northwesterly along a 120.00 foot radius curve, concave northeasterly, an arc distance of 94.23 feet (the long chord bears N 670 30' 15" W, 91 .83 feet) to the point of beginning; thence N 44' 59' 30" E, 48.00 feet to the point of ending.
