Box 847, Ames, IA 50010-0847; 515-232-1761 ATTORNEY'S OPINION I, Stephen Howell, hereby state that I am an Attorney at Law, duly admitted to the practice of law in the State of Iowa, and a member of the firm of Newbrough, Johnston, Brewer, Maddux&Sotak,L.L.P.,with offices at 612 Kellogg Avenue,Ames, Story County,Iowa. I further state that I have examined the Abstract of Title to the following-described real estate,to-wit: The North Eighty-seven and One-half(57%) Feet of Lot Seven(7); Lot Five(5),except the East One Hundred Fifty(150)Feet and all of that part of the South Thirty (30) Feet lying East of the East line of Lot Seven(7),if extended;Lot Four(4);and,Lot Three and One-half (3%2), all in Athletic Park Addition to Ames, Iowa, from the root of title thereof, down to and including the day of Q U_0,t vj , 2000,at ., 6 o'clock A .m.,last certified by Abstract and Title Services of Story County (Iowa Title Guaranty Division Member No. 8650). The real estate has been subdivided and is now known as CAMPUS POINTE,AMES,IOWA. Based upon information within said Abstract of Title,it is my opinion that fee simple title to that portion of the real estate described as: "The North Fifty-seven and One-half(57'/2)Feet of the South Sixty(60)Feet of Lot Seven(7),Athletic Park Addition to Ames,Iowa"is in the name of Campus Pointe,L.L.C.,an Iowa Limited Liability Company, and that fee simple title to that 00 00 974- (s) 2 portion of the real estate described as: "The North Thirty(30) Feet of Lot Seven (7); Lot Five (5), except the East One Hundred Fifty(150)Feet and all of that part of the South Thirty(30)Feet lying East of the East line of Lot Seven(7),if extended;Lot Four(4); and,Lot Three and One-half(3%2), all in Athletic Park Addition to Ames, Iowa" is in the name of Douglas G. Pyle, a married person. There are no liens against the subject property. The property is further subject to easements and restrictions of record and to zoning ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa. pp Dated this 0- day of 2000.
