EASEMENT BY
KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THIS INSTRUMENT: That we, the under-
signed, in consideration of One Dollar and other good and valuable
consideration, do hereby grant unto the City of Ames, Iowa, a
municipal corporation, its successors and assigns, hereinafter
referred to as GRANTEE, upon the conditions hereinafter recited,
the perpetual right to enter upon the land hereinafter described
for the purposes of this easement and the perpetual right to
construct, reconstruct, cover over, clean up, operate, use,
maintain and repair electric lines, consisting of poles, wires,
cables, conduits, fixtures, anchors, and other equipment required
for the transmission of electricity over, upon, across and under
the following described real estate, situated in the County of
Story, State of Iowa, to-wit:
All of Outlot AA;
South 8 feet of Lots 1, 2, 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 and 7;
North 8 feet of Lots 9, 10, 11, 12 , 13 , 14 , 15 , 16 and 17;
All in Blueridge Plat I (a replat of Lot 26 Gateway Hills)
Ames, Iowa, as shown on the Final Plat thereof.
The foregoing rights are granted by the undersigned and shall
be accepted and exercised by Grantee subject to the following terms
and conditions:
1. Grantee shall assume responsibility for all damage to the
above described real estate caused by its failure to use due care
in the exercise of the rights granted herein.
2. Grantee shall have the right to trim or remove trees within
the aforesaid easement areas where necessary to secure a clearance
of four feet from wires or poles.
3. Grantee shall have the right to extend to any telephone,
telegraph, electric power, gas or cable television company the
right to use jointly or separately with Grantee the aforesaid
easement areas for the purposes above enumerated.

me the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for the State of
Iowa, personally appeared Lad Grove to me personally known, who,
being by me duly sworn, did say that he is the President and
Secretary of said corporation executing the within and foregoing
instrument, that no seal has been procured by said corporation,
and that said instrument was signed on behalf of said corporation
by authority of its Board of Directors and that the said Lad Grove
acknowledged the execution of said instrument to be the voluntary
act and deed of said corporation by it and by him voluntarily
executed.

me personally known, who, being by me duly sworn, did say that
they are the President and Secretary, respectively, of said
corporation executing the within and foregoing instrument, that
no seal has been procured by said corporation, and that said
instrument was signed on behalf of said corporation by authority
of its Borad of Directors and that the said Gary Ryun and
Edward C. Schram acknowledged the execution of said instrument
to be their volutary act and deed of said corporation by it and
by them voluntarily executed.

Commencing at the NE corner of Lot 26 ; thence South 308 . 21 feet
along the East side of said Lot 26 on a curve concave to the SW
through a central angle of 23042149" to the Point of Beginning;
thence South 54. 59 feet along the Easterly line of Lot 26 on a
