RESOLUTION APPROVING CLOSURE OF PARKING SPACES IN CBD LOT
FOR TUNE IN TO MAIN STREET ACTIVITIES
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS,the Main Street Cultural District(MSCD)is again planning to hold Tune in to
Main Street concerts on Thursdays from May 24 through July 26, 2012; and,
WHEREAS, the kick-off for this event will be May 24 and will include sidewalk displays,
food vendors, and entertainment in Tom Evans Plaza; and,
WHEREAS, the MSCD is requesting the closure of 24 parking spaces in Central Business
District(CBD) Lot X to facilitate vending and entertainment on each of these Thursdays.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the closure of 24 parking spaces in CBD Lot X to facilitate vending and entertainment for the
Tune in to Main Street event is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 27t' day of March, 2012.
