RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE OF BID DUE DATE FOR
WPC FACILITY ULTRAVIOLET DISINFECTION EQUIPMENT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS, on November 22, 2011, the City Council approved preliminary plans and
specifications for the purchase of Ultraviolet Disinfection Equipment for use at the City's Water
Pollution Control (WPC) Facility and issued a Notice to Bidders; and,
WHEREAS, the original resolution set December 28, 2011, as the bid due date and
January 10, 2012, as the date of public hearing and contract award; and,
WHEREAS,staff received a request from one of the vendors to delay the bid due date by one
week because of the holidays; and,
WHEREAS,in order to allow vendors ample time to prepare a competitive bid package,staff
recommends that the bid due date be changed to January 4, 2012; and,
WHEREAS, the hearing and contract award can still proceed at the January 10, 2012,
Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the change of the bid due date for the WPC Facility Ultraviolet Disinfection Equipment from
December 28, 2011, to January 4, 2012, is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 20`'' day of December, 2011.
