RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR PURCHASE OF LARGE TRACTOR/LOADER/BACKHOE
FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, bids and proposals were received on the 27t1i day of October, 2011, for the
purchase of a Large Tractor/Loader/Backhoe for the Public Works Department,City of Ames,Iowa.
Said bids have now been carefully analyzed.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,as follows:
Section 1: Award of contract is made as follows:
To Murphy Tractor and Equipment of Des Moines,Iowa,in the amount of$162,500,
plus Option 1 for a Stationary Thumb at a cost of$4,700, for a total purchase price
of$167,200.
Section 2: The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said contract for and
on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal of the City thereto.
Section 3: All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 13`h day of December, 2011.
