CITY OF AMES, IOWA
RESOLUTION NO. 98-172
Accepting final plat of AMES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
PARK, FIRST ADDITION, AMES, STORY COUNTY, IOWA, and
accepting the dedication of certain land for street purposes and utility
easements.
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, a
plat of the real property hereinafter described and designated as "Ames Com-
munity Development Park First Addition,Ames, Story County, Iowa";
WHEREAS, Ford Street Development Co., L.C., as the sole owner of said real property,
has executed and acknowledged an instrument consenting to said plat;
WHEREAS, it appears that said plat complies with all requirements of chapters 354 and
355 of the Code of Iowa and the platting ordinance of the City of Ames, Iowa;
Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Ames, Iowa:
1 The City Council accepts and approves as an official subdivision plat to be
known as "Ames Community Development Park. First Addition, Ames Story
County, Iowa", the subdivision plat of the real property situated in Story County, Iowa,
described as:
Parcel "J" of the Southwest Fractional Quarter of the Northwest Fractional
Quarter and part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Fractional
Quarter, all in Section 7, Township 83 North, Range 23 West of the 5th
P.M.,Ames, Story County, Iowa,as shown on the "Plat of Survey" filed in
the office of the Recorder of Story County, Iowa, on March 2, 1998, and
recorded as Instrument No. 98-02446 and filed in C & FN Book 15 at
Page 123;
and more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Center of
said Section 7; thence S88°48'15"W, 413.92 feet along the South Line of
the Northwest Fractional Quarter of said Section 7 to the point of begin-
fors.054

ning; thence continuing S88048'15"W, 1628.92 feet to the Southwest Cor-
ner of the East 22 Acres of the Southwest Fractional Quarter of the
Northwest Fractional Quarter of said Section 7; thence N00°14'42"W,
1317.08 feet to the Northwest Corner of said East 22 Acres and the South
Line of the Ames Community Industrial Park Subdivision, Ames, Story
County, Iowa; thence N89°16'02"E, 754.41 feet along said South Line to
the Northeast Corner of the Southwest Fractional Quarter of the Northwest
Fractional Quarter of said Section 7; thence along said South Line
N88°55'34"E , 877.82 feet to the West right of way line of Interstate
Highway #35; thence along said West right of way line S00°31'59"E,
584.36 feet; thence S02°19'46"W, 200.25 feet; thence S00°31'59"E,
524.78 feet to the point of beginning.
2 The City Council does hereby accept for street right-of-way purpose that
certain tract of land designated on said plat and described as:
Lot A, Ames Community Development Park, First Addition, Ames, Story
County, Iowa.
3 The City Council does hereby accept for utility purposes all other land
designated on said plat for easement purposes.
4 The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to certify and affix to said
plat a true copy of this resolution in accordance with sections 354.8 of the Code of Iowa.
APPROVAL BYMAYOR
The foregoing Resolution having been adopted this date by the City Council, I
hereby approve the same by affixing my signature as Mayor on this 28th day of
April , 1998.

RECORD OF COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
FOR RESOL UTION NO. 9 8-17 2
The City Council of Ames, Iowa, met in regular session in the council chambers,
City Hall, Ames, Iowa, at 7:00 P.M., on April 28 , 1998, with
the Mayor presiding and the following Council Members present and absent:
Present: Campbell, Cross Hoffman Parks Ouizmbach
Absent: Wirth
Council Member Campbell introduced the resolution and moved its adoption.
Council Member Hoffman seconded the motion to adopt. Upon consideration,
the Mayor put the question on the motion. The roll was called and the Council Members
voted as follows:
Yes: CaM bell, M.9.9, Hoffman Park---, Qii rmhach
No: None
Not voting: Wirth
The Mayor declared the resolution adopted.

I, the undersigned, the duly appointed,qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of
Ames, Iowa, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a true and exact copy of
Resolution No. 98-172 , that the Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of
