RESOLUTION NO. 11-421
RESOLUTION GRANTING STORM SEWER EASEMENT
FOR FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, the City of Ames entered into a Development Agreement with First United
Methodist Church on May 24,2011,for the purpose of documenting the obligations and responsibilities
for the expansion of the Church site at 516 Kellogg Avenue and the expansion of the City's parking lot
at 500 Kellogg Avenue; and,
WHEREAS,the Agreement addresses the need for granting certain easements to each parry as
part of the proposed site development; and,
WHEREAS, City staff is requesting that a shared Storm Sewer Easement be granted,which is
centered on the property line separating the Church property from the City parking lot and extending
diagonally across the City parking lot to the Kellogg Avenue right-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,that
the Storm Sewer Easement on City of Ames property to the First United Methodist Church is hereby
granted.
ADOPTED THIS 23rd day of August, 2011.
