RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF FEES FOR
ELECTRICITY USAGE FOR"MUSICWALK"
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, the Main Street Cultural District(MSCD) is planning to host a"MusicWalk"
on Thursday, September 15, 2011; and,
WHEREAS, the event will feature local musicians of all ages and talents; and,
WHEREAS, use of electricity will be needed from the outlets throughout the entire Main
Street Cultural District from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate this event, organizers are requesting that electricity usage
costs be waived on the 15th of September.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the waiver of fees for electricity usage in the entire Main Street Cultural District for the
"MusicWalk" on September 15, 2011, is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 23rd day of August, 2011.
