RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT
THE UNDERSIGNED, Phil Coy and Sons, a partnership composed of
Jack Coy and Richard Coy; Jack Coy and Elizabeth E. Coy, husband and wife;
Richard Coy and Gretchen Coy, husband and wife; and Richard K. Bliss and
Patricia L. Bliss, husband and wife; in consideration of the sum of One
Dollar and other considerations, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,
do grant to the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successors
and assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and use
electric lines, consisting of poles, wires, cables, conduits, fixtures,
anchors and other similar equipment, including the right to trim or remove
trees within such area where necessary to secure a clearance of 4 feet from
the wires or poles, together with the right to extend to telephone, telegraph,
electric or power companies, or a company, the right to use separately or
jointly with the City of Ames the areas included in this easement for the
purposes above enumerated, over, upon, across or under the following
described real estate, situated in the County of Story, State of Iowa, to-wit:
The South 5 feet of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5;
The East 5 feet of Lots 1 and 5;
The East 3. 75 feet of Lot 2;
The West 5 feet of Lot 4;
The West 3. 75 feet of Lots 1 and 3;
The rear 7. 5 feet of Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11;
The rear 5 feet of Lots 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, and 21;
A 5 foot strip parallel and adjacent to the Southeasterly boundary line of Lots
64P 13, 16, and 18;
A 5 foot strip parallel and adjacent to the Northwesterly boundary line of Lots
14, 15, and 19;
A 3. 75 foot strip parallel and adjacent to the Southeasterly boundary line of
Lots 8, 10, and 11;
A 3. 75 foot strip parallel and adjacent to the Northwesterly boundary line of
Lots 7 and 9;
A 5 foot strip parallel and adjacent to the Northeasterly boundary line of
Lot 2 0;
A 3. 75 foot strip parallel and adjacent to the Northeasterly boundary line of
Lot 19;
A 5 foot strip parallel and adjacent to the Southwesterly boundary line of
Lot 21;
A 7. 5 foot strip parallel and adjacent to the Southeasterly boundary line of
Lot 7;
A 5 foot by 20 foot strip located in Lot 20, being 2. 5 feet on each side of a
centerline described as commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot
18, thence S 270 26' E. , 20 feet.

All of said lots being located in Allenview Second Addition to Ames,
Iowa, and do grant to the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its
successors and assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, main-
tain and use storm or sanitary sewer or both upon and underground that
real estate described as follows:
A 10 foot strip parallel and adjacent to the Southeasterly boundary line
of Lot 7;
The rear 25. 5 feet of Lot 6;
That part of Lot 6 described as commencing at the Northeast corner of said
Lot 6, thence Southeasterly along the front lot line, 12 feet;
thence Southwesterly parallel to the Northwest lot line of said Lot
6, 75 feet; thence Southwesterly to a point which is located 25. 5
feet northeasterly and 28 feet Southeasterly from the Northwest
corner of said Lot 6; thence Northwesterly 28 feet to the Northwest
lot line of said Lot 6, thence Northeasterly along said lot line to
the place of beginning.
All of said lots being in Allenview Second Addition to Ames, Iowa.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the
City of Ames will assume responsibility for all damage to the above des-
cribed property caused by the city's failure to use due care in the exercise
of its granted right. /}�
