RESOLUTION APPROVING RENEWAL OF CONTRACT FOR
ELECTRIC METERS
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, the contract renewal is for the purchase of residential watt-hour meters and
power quality meters to meet the annual needs of the Electric Services Department, and these
materials are standard Electric Services Department Meter Division items; and,
WHEREAS, this is the final renewal option for this contract; and,
WHEREAS,the approved FY 2011/12 budget includes$183,73 8 for the purchase of electric
meters, sockets, and related items; and,
WHEREAS,staff has reviewed the bids and determined that the Fletcher Reinhardt Company
of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, continues to meet the needs of the Electric Services Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the contract renewal with Fletcher Reinhardt Company of Cedar Rapids,Iowa,for the purchase
of power quality socket-type meters, in accordance with unit prices bid,not to exceed$183,73 8, is
hereby approved.
